When your cocktail of choice is the margarita and when you live in the birthplace of the frozen margarita (at least as the legend goes), I’m often asked where is the best margarita in Dallas. While I could ramble about all the ways you can look at a margarita from its price, your choice of frozen or on the rocks, salt or no salt, sweet and sour or lime juice… or just make your own decision this weekend at the Margarita Meltdown. 10172804_742456295779229_1619210232_n Perfectly timed with Memorial Day weekend, the fourth annual MARGARITA MELTDOWN, presented by Milagro Tequila, features best “margaritologists”  to compete for a $1000 cash prize and the prestigious title of “Best Margarita in Dallas” this Sunday, May 25 from 5-10pm in Dallas’ historic Bishop Arts District (also one of my favorite places to enjoy a cocktail.) The expected 5,000 attendees may to sample each of the 31 contestants’ tequila-based concoctions and vote on their favorite via text. So let your voice be heard and see who earns the title of “Best Margarita in Dallas.” margaritadog-thumb-250x375 Tickets are $30 online at www.dallasmargaritameltdown.com.
