If you didn’t hear the news, The PGA of America has moved its headquarters from Palm Beach County, Florida to Frisco, Texas.

Next to the HQ sits the stunning Omni PGA Frisco Resort.

This newest attraction in far North Dallas brings hardcore golfers and foodies alike to its giant campus of luxurious golf courses, retail shops, entertainment for the whole family and a plethora of dining options. The $520 million, 660-acre resort complex is one of the largest golf resorts around!

Snacks at The Bunker

So we’re here to talk about food. And what we checked out is just a little TASTE of it all!

First, while playing a round of golf on Fields Ranch (which has two 18-hole championship courses designed by acclaimed golf course architects Gil Hanse and Beau Welling), our appetites start to set in. For a snack, we stopped by the air-conditioned refreshment house called The Bunker, which is on the way in between holes 4 & 5 and 12 & 13. The Bunker serves a variety of grab & go items including build-your-own-hotdogs, all-day breakfast tacos, fruit cups, housemade cookies and more. Grab an ice-cold beer, the signature Frozen Fields Margarita or another beverage to cool you off.

Dining at The Ryder Cup Grille

We finished our morning of golf and headed to The Ryder Cup Grille for lunch (located at the Fields Ranch Clubhouse). This spot is another beautiful dining destination on the property with its sleek wood interior and comfortable seating. Enjoy more views of the course with natural light beaming through the windows.

This restaurant serves classic American culinary fare and has a full bar. It makes for a good spot on this side of PGA Frisco to grab a pre-round breakfast, lunch or an after-round cocktail. We refueled with the guac & salsa flight ($14), an entire filet of fish & chips ($19), as well as the must-try Club Sandwich ($14). There’s also a kids menu if any little ones are with you, featuring chicken tenders, grilled cheese and even a farfalle pasta!

A refreshing Cucumber Collins ($12) and Honey Whiskey Sour ($12) cooled us off, followed up by a Sweet Tea Smash ($12) and Spicy Paloma Spritz ($13). Additional drinks like mocktails and wines by the glass and bottle are also featured. And, we couldn’t pass up a slice of Texas Pecan Pie ($8) for dessert!

The Ryder Cup Grille was the perfect way to cap off our day in a relaxing environment.

Additional Dining Options

There are many other options for food & drink at PGA Frisco. Here’s a rundown of each one:

The Ice House: Serves a wide selection of beer, cocktails and meals. Also enjoy playing off one of the six live hitting bays with Toptracer technology. Because more golf is always appreciated by golf lovers!

The Swing Bar: This walk-up truck serves, cold beer on tap, bottled drinks and margaritas, as well as grab & go snacks.

Margaret’s Cones & Cups: Your stop for ice cream, a variety of coffee and other yummy treats.

The Lounge by Topgolf: Features elevated drinks and menu items. Test your swing on a virtual course or play zombie dodgeball!

Trick Rider: The fancy ambiance with Texas vibes is the destination at PGA Frisco for steak and seafood dishes.

Fields Overlook: Another option for more grab & go food and drinks

The Apron: Come for the Texas and California fare and stay for the amazing views of Fields Ranch. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Lookout Lounge & Bar: Another spot to take in the gorgeous views while noshing on small plates and bar bites.

Toast & Tee Coffee Collective: Marketplace offering breakfast and all-day grab & go items

Green Cactus Cafe: Wellness-driven food and juices are offered here, especially for the Mokara Spa guests who are next door.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort

Turn your adventures into a full staycation! The 500-room hotel gives a nod to the Texan culture and overlooks many of the courses and includes a rooftop infinity pool for adults, a family-friendly pool and more amenities. Additionally, there are 10 exclusive ranch houses that can be rented for bigger groups. Each private ranch house features four bedrooms, including a master suite and a open floor plan.

Tee times are available for registered resort guests who have a stay date within 120 days, and those can be booked by calling 1-800-843-6664.
