Various locations of Pei Wei have added new lettuce wraps to its menu: Thai Chicken and Korean Steak. As a long-time fan of Pei Wei, I was excited to taste these new items. The wraps are a great light meal to enjoy this summer.

The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps provide a Thai-inspired twist on Pei Wei’s traditional lettuce wraps, with all-natural wok-seared chicken, and a combination of hand-chopped vegetables including red onions, red bell peppers, scallions, along with cilantro and mint, all tossed in a tangy citrus soy sauce. I prefer chicken over beef in general, so this wrap was my favorite. The addition of the citrus sauce made the meal even more delicious.

The Korean Steak Lettuce Wraps feature wok-seared marinated steak tossed with fresh carrots, bean sprouts, red onions, scallions, cucumbers, and toasted sesame seeds, drizzled with a Korean red chile sauce. There’s a bit of a kick to this one, so get ready for a flavorful taste!

“Summer is a great time to enjoy meals full of bright flavors,” said Phil Butler, creative culinary chef for Pei Wei. “Our culinary team is passionate about summer’s cool, crisp fare and we’re glad to offer two new ways to satisfy our guests’ summer cravings.”

Pei Wei uses the freshest ingredients for all its meals including hand-cut veggies and made-from-scratch sauces. And the same goes for the lettuce wraps. I definitely recommend trying out either wrap (or both!) this season.

The price for the wraps starts at $6.99 and are available through the end of August.
