Four Dallas-area Pei Wei® Asian Diners are unveiling a new look and new tastes with refreshed interiors, new fare and light portions of menu favorites. Dallas residents are invited to savor tasty new and limited-time menu items while enjoying the enhanced dining experience at the Preston Forest, Knox Park, Uptown Plaza and Preston Center Pei Wei locations.

To celebrate the fresh, lightened up tastes of summer, Pei Wei is introducing three new lettuce wraps: Thai Chicken, Korean Steak and Hunan Vegetable. These limited-time offerings are available now until the end of August, providing a great summertime complement to the Traditional Chicken Lettuce Wraps, an all-time favorite on the Pei Wei menu.

  • The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps provide a Thai-inspired twist on Pei Wei’s traditional lettuce wraps, with all-natural wok-seared chicken, and a combination of hand-chopped vegetables including red onions, red bell peppers, scallions, along with cilantro and mint, all tossed in a tangy citrus soy sauce.
  • The Korean Steak Lettuce Wraps feature wok-seared marinated steak tossed with fresh carrots, bean sprouts, red onions, scallions, cucumbers, and toasted sesame seeds, drizzled with a Korean red chile sauce.
  • Rounding out the new additions is a vegetarian option, the Hunan Vegetable Lettuce Wraps, which combine a hearty balance of tofu, shiitake mushrooms, Szechuan vegetables, zucchini, red bell peppers, red onions, scallions and peanuts in a flavorful Hunan sauce.

New lighter, brighter, menu items are also arriving at Pei Wei in time for summer, but as permanent additions, will continue to offer fresh flavors year round. The select Dallas Pei Wei locations are introducing two new Perfect Additions: zesty Ginger Orange Edamame and spicy Szechuan Green Beans. Both pair especially well with any of the new lettuce wraps, rounding out a great everyday option for a light, yet satisfying lunch.

At dinner, the new variety of shareable Perfect Additions are ideal to enjoy with friends or family before an entrée such as the hearty new Wok Roasted Vegetable Salad, or a signature dish or noodle bowl wok’d fresh to order.

Pei Wei guests seeking lighter versions of their favorite dishes can now choose to have any signature entrée steamed with chicken or shrimp, and can also choose from two sizes of any wok fresh entrée to suit any appetite. To ensure the best selection of customizable options, guests can also opt to substitute PeiWei’s new Side Salad instead of rice, heat things up by ordering their preferred spice level, or choose to have their sauce served on the side.

The new menu additions are crafted with the same high quality and attention to detail as every other PeiWei dish, using only the best ingredients—including hand-cut vegetables and sauces made from scratch. This quality also comes with a very affordable price, with the new lettuce wraps starting at $6.99.

“We’re excited to unveil the new look in select stores as well as these new light, fresh menu items,” said K.C. Moylan, president, Pei Wei. “All of the changes have been driven by our desire to give guests an exciting sensory experience while also bringing them new items to crave.”

(Disclaimer: We were provided with a gift card to try out these new menu items. I purchased some additional appetizers out of my own pocket because I can’t go to Pei Wei without getting original edamame and crab wontons! The images in this article were sent to us from PeiWei.)
