Mi Dia is the mini vacation in your backyard youve been dreaming of, with cool drinks, delicious food, and a warm welcome to festive nights. The restaurant, located on the south end of Main Street in Grapevine, TX, takes you through different regions of Mexico, with city cuisines, Santa Fe flavors, Tex-Mex favorites, and street style tacos. With a tequila tower, outdoor patio and fire pit, its pretty much guaranteed to be a good night.

Tableside Guacamole at Mi Dia

Start with the tableside guacamole, made fresh at the table in an authentic molcajete. Hands down the best guacamole I have ever been blessed to taste. Options to add in include fresh tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, onion, bacon, and Serrano peppers. Add bacon, youll thank me later.

The duck carnita street style tacos are a signature item that are served four to a plate atop homemade flour tortillas, garnished with pickled onion, roasted poblanos, micro cilantro, and chile morita. On the side is poblano rice and Oaxacan black beans, in a refried style. The pork belly tacos also caught my eye, served with grilled pineapple on homemade corn tortillas.

Another signature item is the Cochinita Pibil, under Mexican Cuisine: pork shank rubbed with achiote (a spice used to give a smoky flavor), wrapped in a banana leaf and roasted, served with street corn and Oaxacan black beans. Street style food such as Elotes can be a very difficult thing to mess up.

The house margaritas are perfect: strong and always skinny (real lemon juice and agave nectar, made with two ounces of spirit or more). Check out the entire drink menu, though, for creative and delicious drinks to meet your needs.

Overall, great vibes, delicious food, huge portions, and they definitely make it feel like you are no longer in North Texas. Visit Mi Dia From Scratch for your next convenient getaway.
