Greenville Ave. Pizza Co., or GAPC for short has endured the uprising of Lower Greenville like a phoenix rising from the ashes. In 2013, owner Sammy Mandell decided to undergo renovations to update their digs with the quickly changing surroundings. Staying true to their roots, 99% of the ingredients used to construct their glorious menu are made in house. At GAPC, they strive to bring their customers locally sourced toppings that ultimately keeps the phone ringing off the hook and the door always swinging open. A fresh take on brunch awaits you here at GAPC.
The first thing you must do when placing an order… get a mimosa while you wait! Try their featured apple cider mimosa or go with the classic OJ. The pepperoni garnish brings a smile to your face upon delivery. Either option incorporates a heavy amount of champagne with a splash cider makes it the perfect companion with the limited time Thanksgiving Leftover Calzone.
Thanksgiving Leftover Calzone
Tell Mom you are sorry you won’t be attending the annual Thanksgiving food festivities this year, you are heading to GAPC! During the month of November, they offer up a Thanksgiving Leftovers Calzone which incorporates all of our favorites into one large and doughy pocket. House made mashed potatoes, stuffing and a thick slice of locally smoked turkey breast from ONE90 Smokehouse are all congealed together with fresh mozzarella. The sauce is definitely the boss here at GAPC, and the cayenne cranberry sauce and savory brown gravy deliver unrivaled flavor even you mother would be proud of.
Meat and Potatoes Calzone
Fresh mozzarella, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, Italian sausage, harwood smoked bacon and cheddar cheese and gracefully situated in their made fresh pizza dough. Sealed up and baked to a golden brown, this is the ultimate breakfast calzone. Served alongside their Heazza (pronounced Heat-Za) sauce which combines their pizza sauce with a tangy and spicy hot sauce. Make sure you order a mimosa or three to wash down the spiciness and ease the burn.
Oktoberfest Hangover Cure Pizza
Although Oktoberfest has come and gone, why not relive the moments through this collaboration between Bling Butcher and GAPC. For a cool $20 you get a 12″ pie which features Blind Butcher’s housemade mustard, bacon bratwurst and saurkraut. After you have finished licking the pizza pan, head over to Bullzerk to redeem the voucher for a FREE t-shirt and grab your FREE tea at Plum Yoga. Just when you thought you have made your $20 stretch to the max, $5 from that $20 will be donated to the Movember Foundation which helps men live longer lives focusing on prostate and testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical activity. Kudos to GAPC for supporting such an important cause.
With a focus on local and house made ingredients, it is no wonder why GAPC has been a staple in Lower Greenville area for those craving a delicious pizza. Join them from brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 2pm. Grab a mimosa and a calzone while catching the game on two large TVs or soak up the few remaining days of patio weather at Greenville Ave. Pizza Co.!
