Hello, spring!

Us food nerds were out & about this month enjoying the outdoors and tasty food and drinks, plus festivals! Take a look at our recap below.

(Disclaimer: Some of our meals were provided by the restaurants in exchange for our honest opinions.)

Afternoon Tea Experience

Hotel Crescent Court in Uptown Dallas serves up a dainty afternoon tea and is featuring a Bridgerton theme this month. We enjoyed a variety of housemade scones, tea sandwiches and desserts, along with two luxury, blended loose leaf teas and champagne. Don’t miss the beautiful tunes by local harpist, Merry Miller. Buy your tickets here.

Hawaiian Flair at Mobettah’s

Mobettah’s Hawaiian Style Food opened a new location in Plano, and we stopped by for lunch to try this out! The portions are big with two meats, rice & macaroni salad, or upgrade to the “Ekolu” (“da big boy”) to get three meats. Their specialty is the Kalua Pig (tender slow-roasted pulled pork) & Pulehu Chicken (grilled & seasoned chicken), but we also loved the Katsu! Don’t skip adding a can of Hawaiian Sun to complete your meal.

Dallas Arboretum Food & Wine Festival

The Arboretum’s annual festival is one we look forward to each year. With the blooming flowers, top chefs and drinks, it’s a wonderful event all around. Have you seen the new flowers yet this season?

Southern Goodness at Biscuit Bar

The Biscuit Bar is now available for delivery through Doordash, UberEats and more. We seriously loved the Biscuit 2X4 box with FABB (fig, arugula, bacon and Brie), Buffalo Bleu, El Jefe and Fancy Chicken.

Check out their six locations around DFW.

Barrell 99 Opens in Flower Mound

Three cheers for the opening of Barrell 99 Bar & Grill now open in Flower Mound! This rustic bar features a large collection of Texas wines, appetizing munchies and live music from area artists.

Tender Shack has your Tendies Fix

Tex-Mex Galore at Oje’s

Family-owned restaurant, Oje’s, dishes up Tex-Mex staples, tasty margaritas and signature dishes like puffed tacos and Mexican style beef stew. It’s no wonder the restaurant has been around for three decades!

Drink up at Big Texas Beer Fest

With over 100+ breweries, we discovered so many Texas breweries and sampled exclusive and rare beers at last weekend’s @bigtxbeerfest. We already have plans to go visit tasting rooms this weekend! What are your favorite breweries around DFW?

International Women’s Day

ICYMI – check out our group of female writers!

Walk Ons’ New Look

Walk Ons in Las Colinas celebrated a beautiful remodel project and had us in for a sneak peek! With over 60 TVs, this is our new go-to spot for big games. We also give them two thumbs up for creative and tasty menu items like this Hangover Burger.
