If you’re a fan of the Bravo TV hit “Top Chef,” then you’re pretty familiar with hometown celebrity Chef Tre Wilcox.
Tre’s love for food and belief in using the best ingredients has led him to open an exciting new venture titled Tre Cooking Concepts.
Upon attending the media preview for the restaurant, I was instantly impressed with the space and sophisticated décor. The 3,200-square-feet space is quite versatile and can be transformed to fit any casual or formal dining occasion. Guests mingled and networked while enjoying tasty bites prepared by Tre and his exceptional staff. Tre graciously addressed the crowd and spoke of his food philosophy and tickled our fancies with quite an infectious laugh!
The space contains a full audio system complete with 50-inch TVs that are utilized for music, seminar and presentation purposes.
The preview included a live cooking demonstration by Tre himself which kicked off the culinary portion of the evening. We began with a crab stuffed scallop with an accompanying salad, followed by a delectably satisfying plate of steak and shrimp with a pea risotto. To say the food was delicious is an understatement!
The sweet nightcap to the evening was a healthy serving of Chocolate Chili Panna Cotta accompanied with fruit and nuts-I’m normally not a fan of anything chocolate but I’d give my right arm to have this delivered to my front door on a daily basis.
The cooking classes began in March and are comprised of demonstrations focused on Seafood, Asian and Southwestern/Texas cuisine. Classes are equipped with demonstration kitchens, chef’s tables and plenty of ingredients to give guests the ultimate culinary cooking experience. The best part? All attendees will enjoy the fruits of their labor along with their beverage of choice.
Be sure to check out Tre Cooking Concepts to learn more about Tre himself and all of the upcoming classes and exciting events, you won’t be disappointed!
