I was doing the math yesterday, I’ve lived in Addison for 4 years now. Just a quick drive north of Dallas, the city of Addison certainly has it’s own personality. With some 500 restaurants in a 5 mile radius (I may exaggerate), it’s pretty much guaranteed that everyone’s taste buds can be happy.

The last few days I had the honor of trying out 14 of Addison’s hot spots. Myself, along with a few others visited FOURTEEN restaurants, in a 3 day span, to judge the taste, presentation, and creativity of each chef’s Competition Dish. This is a new add-on to this weekend’s big Taste Addison 2011 event! If you’ve never been, it’s a must.

In Food Nerd fashion I made a Foodspotting Guide out of the 14 stops & dishes so that you too can partake. If you foodspot 10 of the dishes you’ll get the Taste Competition badge on Foodspotting. These menu items will be available through June, you can ask for them each by name or ask for “The Competition Dish” at any of the locations.

Thursday evening the winners of the competition will be announced!

In alphabetical order here are the competition dishes…

  1. All the dishes look and sound amazing, but I’m a sucker for pizza! I will definitely have to try the Midnight Meatball Pizza for Kenny’s. Maybe for lunch today?

  2. I’ve never been to the Lion & Crown (though I, too, have been in Addison many years) so Salmon Cakes it is!

  3. These all look great but those Salmon Cakes look great and I can’t wait to try! I voted too on Facebook. Great way to promote the great restaurants in Addison!

  4. As a true Texan, I’m going for the steak! Bring on Chamberlain’s stuffed tenderloin!

  5. I just voted (and ‘liked’) your Special Events Page!! Looking forward to this weekend!
