The Shops at Legacy is one of my favorite spots to visit in North Dallas. Granted, I usually stop by the same few bars and restaurants every time I’m over there. To try something new, I visited Pepper Smash, an attractive gastropub, that’s been around The Shops for two years. (Okay – I’m way behind on this visit!)

If you just turn the corner from Mi Cocina (one of my regular spots), you’ll see Pepper Smash on the same side of the street. Elysa (Dallas Food Nerd editor) and I were invited to a tasting event to sample new items that are now available, as well as some of the classics. The company offers a variety of savory American dishes that will leave you full and satisfied.

Take a look:

Additional new items include the Hummus and Naan (original or roasted red pepper, served with garlic and olive oil) and the Potato Fritters (Parmesan, garlic, spicy chili aioli).

The head mixologist at Pepper Smash is the mastermind behind the creative drinks on the menu. These drinks aren’t new to the menu but are highly-sought by customers. His team whips up smoky cocktails, lights them on fire and doesn’t use a blender while preparing any drinks.

The tea and pink lemonade are great options as well (no alcohol in these ones, folks). And look – they prepare these drinks in a French Press!

We had a fun time at the event and will definitely be back! Pepper Smash is located at 7200 Bishop Road in Plano.
(Disclaimer: Dallas Food Nerd was invited to a complimentary tasting, and all thoughts are our own. Now go try the smoky cocktails! Please drink responsibly.)
