I LOVE the concept of Kitchen LTO (Limited Time Only), but I’m a bit sad to share this news with y’all because I think Kitchen LTO’s current chef, Eric Shelton, is awesome. I tweeted last week “if you haven’t tried Eric Shelton’s food at Kitchen LTO then we can’t be friends.” So, friends… get yourself to Kitchen LTO before May 31st and if you’re free on May 4th the voting party for the new finalists should be great! Details below.

Kitchen LTO at Trinity Groves will host MEET. TASTE. REVIEW. VOTE on Sunday, May 4th, to debut its chef and artist finalists for the third restaurant rotation. Kitchen LTO

The event, to be held at Kitchen LTO, will allow partygoers the opportunity to meet the finalists, taste-test the chefs, explore proposed artists and be the first to vote for their favorites.  Voting will commence at the event and continue through 6pm Saturday, May 10th via Kitchen LTO’s website, www.kitchenlto.com. Voting will be limited to one time per 24 hours, with winners announced Monday, May 12th.  The current chef, Eric Shelton, will end his tenure on Saturday, May 31st.  The restaurant will re-open on Tuesday, June 3rd for the third round concept.

Tickets are limited and are currently on sale for $65 at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/667871. Proceeds will benefit El Centro’s Culinary Facilities.

CHEF FINALISTS INCLUDE:

  • Rosanne “Roe” Dileo – Most recent position, head chef Libertine Bar
  • Fitzgerald Dodd – Currently utility cook at Amberjax Fish & Grille
  • Brooke Eggers – Currently chef at Village Modern Foods in Santa Barbara, CA
  • Daniel Tarasevich – Currently executive chef, 2nd Floor Bistro
  • Scott Townend – Currently owner/operator Scott Townend LLC – catering, private chef, consulting

Kitchen LTO, concepted by Casie Caldwell (Founder and Owner of Greenz Salads — a Dallas based fast-casual eatery) changes every four months as a new chef rotates in and introduces a new menu concept.  Simultaneously, a new design firm or artist will reinvent the interior’s transformable elements.

“Essentially, it’s a limited time only (“LTO”), where a new restaurant is born three times a year,“ says Caldwell.  “I designed the restaurant for food lovers like myself who are always exploring new trends and searching for the next best culinary adventure.  I can’t think of a better way to do that while fostering the great culinary talent available on a local, regional and national level.”
