I have continuously failed to catch the $13.95 lobster special at Daddy Jack’s during Mon-Wed, where you get one pound whole maine lobster cull with baked potato and vegetable. But, I love this restaurant too much that I’m going to introduce their entree specials and some of my friends’ orders anyway. Daddy Jack’s is the first place that comes across my mind whenever I crave quality seafood. It is definitely one of the highly recommended seafood restaurants in Dallas before I even found out they have won various awards from Dallas Observer to Zagat Survey. Without further due, let’s look at some mouth-watering pictures!

Bread with Butter

I dipped my bread with clam chowder and the lemon garlic broth in which clams were steamed in. I was in heaven.

New England Clam Chowder

Daddy Jack’s homemade New England Clam Chowder is the best clam chowder I’ve ever had besides Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco Bay Area. A must-order.

Caesar Salad

Since this was friends’ order, I can only say it looked fresh.

Clams

I always and have to get clams as my appetizer because I just can’t get enough of their clams steamed in lemon garlic broth. So flavorful and delicious. Thumbs-up! Again, their bread goes so well with this rich, not too salty lemon garlic broth.

Fried Calamari and Parmesan Herb Crusted Flash Fried Shrimp

Friend’s order of fried calamari with marinara and herb crusted flash fried shrimp. According to my friends, they really enjoyed both plates. One of them particularly likes to eat calamari and she said they were battered and fried well. No tentacles, all squid!

Seafood Paella

Entree Special – $28.95 Seafood Paella comes with lobster, clams, mussels, and jumbo gulf shrimp steamed in saffron rice. It was AMAZING. Under the Sea literally accompanied me throughout the course. Everything thing from texture, freshness, to flavor was very pleasant. My friends all dipped in with their spoons to taste the saffron rice, and they said many places make their rice very bland, but Daddy Jack’s saffron rice was very flavorful and tasty. Indeed, I can tell my rice absorbed all the essence of the seafood broth during steaming. That’s why it tastes like bomb!

Lobster Special (twins at $24.95)

Lobster Special single at $13.95 remains yet-to-be-conquered on my list. Their grilled ahi tuna steak with jumbo gulf shrimp is also very delicious because I can still remember its taste from a year ago.
