Bunch awaits at Hills Cafe!

Nestled in the swanky Castle Hills Village Shops bordering Lewisville and Carrolton, Hills Cafe opened this past December – offering locals breakfast and lunch daily.

Hills Café is owned and operated by Sung “Sam” yub Jung, a restaurant veteran of 15 years who also successfully operates three Starwood Café locations in McKinney and Frisco.

When you walk into Hills Cafe, you’ll first see a coffee and juice bar to the left. The restaurant prepares a variety of coffee drinks (lattes, espresso, mochas and more), plus smoothies and freshly squeezed juice (only made with California oranges and no added sugar/anything!). Shown below is the strawberry banana smoothie – a refreshing drink for any time of the day. Guests can also pick up drinks to-go from the coffee/juice bar. While the restaurant does not serve any alcoholic drinks, I know you’ll be impressed by the other sips they have to offer!

The Hills Cafe menu includes breakfast classics, and the prices are great for the big portions you’ll get! No matter what breakfast meal you’re craving, it’s safe to say they have it all from omelets, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles and different varieties of farm-fresh eggs. Many of the meals comes with your choice of sides such as fruit, hash browns, grits, pancakes, biscuits and toast. Plan on coming here hungry!!

Blueberry puree pancakes (this was just the side I ordered with my omelets. Guests can order the entrée version of this too!)
Mediterranean Omelet with spinach, feta cheese, kalamata olives and tomatoes. I also added mushrooms. Everything on the menu at Hills Cafe is available for modification, so don’t be shy ordering what you want. The staff encourages it!
Honey Smoke Salmon Benedict – this is not your average eggs benedict. Enjoy two poached eggs on a toasted English muffin, along with honey smoke salmon, tomatoes, capers, baby spinach with hollandaise sauce. Choose from two sides as well!

Now if you’re not in the mood for breakfast, Hills Cafe has you covered with easy going lunch options including burgers, sandwiches, wholesome salads and fried chicken and steak favorites.

We ordered a dish of the Chicken Fried Steak because who doesn’t love this?? (See below). I opted for fried okra and mashed potatoes as the sides. The chicken had just the right amount of crispiness – and I didn’t mind all the creamy gravy on top and on the side! Since I can’t wait to go back, I’ll probably order the Cuban panni or the patty melt next. Mmmmm!

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 am-2:30 pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 7:30 am-3 pm.
