Local advocacy-driven food enthusiast start-up TangoTab is holding a “Fall Fiasco” at the Nodding Donkey’s SMU Blvd location Thursday, November 14th, from 7pm to 10pm, as a near-holiday push to feed more families for Thanksgiving. Aschere Energy is matching all donations made during the event, with the goal of 1,500 meals to feed families around the Metroplex this holiday.

TangoTab is a social and philanthropic venture with a mobile app that provides consumers with free restaurant deal offers. Every time someone uses a TangoTab deal, TangoTab donates a meal to feed a person in need through a local food bank, which is a unique approach to help solve a critical issue.

“TangoTabÂ’s goal is to bring passionate customer to participating restaurants while simultaneously helping fight the hunger problem here at home,” said Andre Angel, founder and CEO of TangoTab. “We have created a win-win-win model where diners save money, restaurants get traffic, and the hungry have a meal, too. The model is summed up in our tagline ‘Every time you eat, they eat’.”

TangoTab hosts monthly happy hours to generate awareness of local hunger, however this a special event since it’s near Thanksgiving. Aschere Energy will be working the TangoTab and their partners Kroger and LaDainian Tomlinson’s Touching Lives Foundation, to help feed 100s of families via Thursday’s fundraising event.

“Aschere Energy is proud to team up with Tango Tab for LaDainian Tomlinson’s Touching Lives Foundation fundraising event. I feel like we are a part of the same team trying to carry out the same mission, to end hunger while enhancing the lives of children, families, and communities who are less fortunate,” said Alex Parvizian, CEO of Aschere Energy.

On top of feeling good about helping others eat, attendees will receive his/her first drink on the house, free appetizers. All will be given a raffle ticket and for every $5 donated, a bonus ticket will be given. What’s the raffle prize?

Donors will get the chance to volunteer alongside NFL great and DFW native LaDainian Tomlinson hand deliver meals Saturday, Nov. 23, from 7 a.m. to noon. The now retired football player is still doing great work through his Touching Lives Foundation. He, along with TangoTab, Albertsons, and Aschere Energy aims to feed the hungry this Thanksgiving.
