Breakfast in bed on Valentine’s Day is one for the books. But let’s get real. As delicious as breakfast is, it can sometimes be a messy endeavor to make all the things you want, much less to serve them on haphazard bed tray. So rather than turning a sweet gesture into a syrup-covered bed (unless that’s what you’re into), check out the specials at The Original Pancake House locations across the DFW.
On February 14 and 15, The Original Pancake House will feature limited-edition Chocolate Cherry Crepes, filled with rich milk chocolate and Montmorency cherries, simmered in a signature Danish Wine Sauce for $7.99.
If you’re looking for a sit-down dinner, Chef Scott of Roy’s Restaurant in Plano has planned a special prix fixe of delicious and memorable proportions to really start your Valentine’s Day evening off right. His four-course menu features customizable selections like the entrée duo of Misoyaki Butterfish (which I can tell you from personal experience is amazing) and Kobe Beef Short Rib in a Red Wine Curry Demi-Glace. Additional menu options include the Wok Fried Whole Texas Sea Bass and the Butter Seared Scallops with Roy’s Belgian Chocolate Torte for dessert. Reservations are recommended and can be made via the website or by calling 972-473-6263.
Thai-Viatnamese Malai Kitchen is also prepared to make your evening special. In addition to their normal menus, Malai Kitchen is offering a five-course chef’s tasting menu for $55 per person with optional wine pairings for $35. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 214-599-7857.
