Travis Frederick, center for the Dallas Cowboys, hosted a Stars and Steaks gala to benefit Blocking Out Hunger on Monday night. When asked why he was so passionate about this cause, Fredericks said in Texas, one in five children face hunger. That sounds like reason enough for us! The event was hosted at Hilton Anatole and raised over $220,000 to fight childhood hunger in Texas.  He brought along a handful of his teammates to help raise awareness of the cause.

Guests participated in silent auctions, as well as a live auction of sports memorabilia. Then, they nom’d on a tasty steak dinner.

The event was a blast and for such a good cause. We were overwhelmed by all of the support the foundation received and all the work Travis has planned for the future. To find out more about Blocking Out Hunger, visit their website here: http://www.travisfrederick.org
