Dallas-area restaurants have plenty to offer this Valentine’s Day. Take a look at the many exciting dining options right in our neighborhood!

The Gin Mill:

The Gin Mill hosts a Texas-inspired beer or wine-paired Valentine dinner, Thursday, February 14, 7:00 p.m. featuring brews from Peticolas, Four Corners, Revolver and Deep Ellum Brewery or samplings from East Dallas winery, Times Ten Cellars paired with four pub-inspired courses.  Courses include Ratatouille Bruschetta, Orange and Fennel Salad, Roast Pork with Celery Root and Pear Puree and Chocolate Cherry Torte. Cost is $60 per person, excluding gratuity, tax and additional beverages. Regular dinner menu available, as well.

The Gin Mill is located at 1921 North Henderson.  Hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 4pm-2am, Friday 3pm-2am, Saturday and Sunday 11am-2am.  The kitchen is open until 11pm Sunday – Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Aventino’s Italian Restaurant:

Aventino’s Italian Restaurant, located at 5800 Lovell Avenue in west Fort Worth, is serving up a special a la carte menu for Valentine’s Day on Thursday, February 14th. The 30-year-old beloved Fort Worth Italian staple is currently taking reservations for seatings beginning at 5 p.m. Call (817) 570-7940 to make reservations. Bread Winners:

Bread Winners Cafe is now accepting Valentine’s Day reservations at all four of their locations. Their chef has created a decadent and memorable Valentine’s Day menu and paired it with the perfect wines from their collection. The nightly dinner and dessert menus will also be available.  The attached menu will be available 5pm-close on 2/14/2013 at any of Bread Winners 4 locations.

The Second Floor:

Whether embarking on a first date or celebrating years of unending love, diners can revel in romance with Executive Chef Scott Gottlich’s amorous creations and Sommelier Gina Gottlich’s palate-pleasing wine pairings this Valentine’s Day at The Second Floor. Delight in dishes like shrimp bisque, George’s bank scallops, lamb loin and refreshingly sweet strawberry shortcake with chantilly cream. Each table will be given a complimentary rose at the end of dinner. Guests are welcome to select one dish in each course.

Highland Park Cafeteria:

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Highland Park Cafeteria with romantic live piano music and a free glass of wine with meal.  Special dinners are being prepared – choice of beef tenderloin with spinach and mushroom sauce and loaded mashed potatoes, grilled salmon with pineapple salsa and honey glazed carrots or baked tender chicken breast with lemon sauce and fresh green beans sautéed with bacon and onions. Dinner only 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. , Thursday, February 14 – Sunday, February 17 priced at just $15.99 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity.  Regular menu available from $6.99. Additionally, the Shakespeare Bakery and Catering department is filled with Valentine’s Day goodies and gifts including Valentine’s Day inspired iced cookies, cakes and more.

The Front Room:

Celebrate love and have fun with loved ones with several Valentine’s Day themed events for couples, friends and families at The Front Room: A Park Cities Diner. Valentine’s Day Dinner: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special romantic four course pre-fixe menu with choices from Executive Chef Nick Amoriello.  Presented in addition to the regular All Day Dining menu, the Valentine’s Day menu is priced at $55 per person and $75 per person with wine pairings.  The Front Room is sharing the love with their guests this Valentine’s Day with a complimentary glass of champagne.

Reservations are recommended.  Make a night of it and book a room at The Lumen, a Kimpton Hotel with rates starting at $149 by asking for the LOVE rate.
