Pure deLite, the only guilt-free cupcakery in North Texas that specializes in gluten-free, vegan, reduced fat and reduced sugar cupcakes, will celebrate the holidays this December by conducting a toy drive in support of the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Pure deLite cupcakery will collect new, unwrapped toys from today until Thursday, Dec. 13, as part of the programs mission to distribute toys to needy children in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

After donating 10 percent of the Pure deLite Carrollton stores overall proceeds to the North Texas Food Bank during the month of November, our staff wanted to do even more to give back to our new community, said Rachel Hough, owner of Pure deLite. Now were continuing our efforts to help deserving children have a better holiday by collecting as many toys as possible in support of another amazing charity “ the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program.

From today until Thursday, Dec. 13, Pure deLite will offer one complimentary cupcake for each individual who brings in an unwrapped, new toy to its Carrollton bakery location at 3432 E. Hebron Parkway. Besides its more than 140 flavors of cupcakes, toy drive participants will also have an opportunity to purchase icing shots, cake balls, cakes, biscotti, French macaroons and even a variety of coffee flavors.

Recipients of the toys are children whose parents are struggling to put food on the table, added Hough. The holiday season can be a challenging time for many of these parents who cant afford a gift for their child. We want to alleviate the gift-giving burden by making sure each child in the DFW area receives that special gift. The holidays are a time to help our neighbors who need support the most.
