Pie Five Pizza, the fast, fresh pizza chain based out of The Colony just opened its 14th location in DFW at Lewisville, along Texas 121 at Josey Lane.
I got the chance to stop in and build my own signature pie and sample the new Maui Wowwie pie.
I first ordered the Athenian pizza, and it comes with chicken, red onion, banana peppers, olives, basil, feta and a sundried tomato puree. To my preference, I added more sundried tomatoes and marinated artichoke hearts. On the artisan thin crust, this pie is somehow light and flaky while still filling and substantial “ I could only eat half of it.

The Maui Wowwie pizza comes with tangy barbeque sauce, sliced ham, bacon, red onions and pineapple, finished with fresh cilantro. As far as non-traditional pizzas go, this one is a definite winner. But hurry, this limited-time pie is only available until June 7.

The great thing about Pie Five Pizza is that no matter what you’re craving, they can make it happen. Signs around the restaurant boast “infinite” combinations – and with the number of toppings they offer (along with four different crust options – including a gluten free one), and I don’t doubt it.
With 14 locations around the metroplex, Pie Five Pizza is a great spot for lunch or dinner “ they arent joking when they say you can have a signature, personal pizza in less than five minutes.
