Many Dallasites are familiar with Grub Burger Bar off Greenville Ave, so when Plano opened up its second DFW-area location, I was stoked (since it’s right by me!). This new location, open just over a month now, is located off 121 N and Preston Road. And, the menu is almost completely different at this location! This area of North Dallas is continuing to expand with new retailers, and Grub Burger Bar is happy to join the club.

The casual burger-themed restaurant offers guests an array of food and drinks, in addition to their creative and delicious burgers (more on that in a minute). From shareable appetizers (like the Ahi Tuna and Cheese Fries loaded with toppings and meat), to large (and meaty) salads and bowls, the restaurant has plenty to please your taste buds.

I was invited to a milkshake-making demo while sampling several menu items with other bloggers in town. I have to admit, I’m obsessed with adult milkshakes. Ice cream, my fave toppings AND booze? It’s a party in a cup!

The bloggers and I had fun making our own milkshakes from the different liquors and toppings provided. We also sampled several of the fun milkshakes that are available at the store:

Kitchen Sink: Looking for a random mix of stuff in a shake?? Here you go. Pretzels, peanut butter, salt, butterscotch sauce, caramel sauce, chocolate chips, coffee grounds and potato chips. It’s a combo of sweet and salty all in one sip. If that’s your style, then you’ll have this shake! ($5.25)

Get the spiked version (the Dirty Kitchen Sink) for $7.

Worms & Dirt: Crushed Oreo and gummy worms ($5.25)

Order it spiked (Tipsy Worms & Dirt) for $7.

ET Shake: Reeses Pieces, peanut butter, chocolate and a peanut butter cookie ($5.25)

Another spiked option (the Drunk ET Dial) is available for $7.

Of course you can’t forget ordering a burger if you’re taste buds are asking for one! I tried the Mac N Cheeseburger topped with cheese sauce and bacon, and a side of large onion rings. Winner!

Happier Hour here takes place from 3-6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close daily. Grab a regular one-flavor shake for $3 and the handcrafted shakes noted above for $4. All spiked shakes during this time are $5.

Grub Burger Bar in Plano is located at 8255 Preston Road, Ste, 300.

(Disclaimer: My menu sampling was complimentary, and all thoughts are my own.)
