It’s fall, y’all! We had a lot of good eats during the month of September and looking forward to more fall bites soon… including at the State Fair of Texas! Until then, check out these scrumptious meals.

Flurry’s Market Brings Specialty Meats to Flower Mound

This meat-lovers destination in FloMo serves hand-cut specialty meats, and many are marinated right here at the shop. Grab a variety of meats and seafood to go, plus check out the dining area. We recommend ordering the brisket sandwich, fresh-based beignets and a side of the housemade banana pudding, as well as ordering the seasonal sausage at the butcher counter to take home with you.

Beto & Son is more than a father-son joint…it’s a Tex-Mex experience!

There’s a good reason why this establishment has been around for as long as it has in the Trinity Goves neighborhood of Dallas. The staple Tex-Mex food at Beto & Son HITS, and a tableside nitrogen margarita is a must order.

GNO at Lexy’s Dallas

Another Trinity Groves fun spot is Lexy’s Dallas. Wear your favorite pink outfit and head to Lexy’s with your crew for craft cocktails and a shareable heart-shaped chocolate dessert.

Black Tap Craft Burgers and Beer Opens in Victory Park

We’re always looking for a pre-game bite and drinks when heading to the AAC, and the new Black Tap Burgers & Craft Beer is not to miss. Our recommendations include the Black Truffle Burger and funfetti “CrazyShake!”

TJ’s Seafood Debuts 14 New Menu Items

The 30-year-old restaurant in Dallas has spiced up its menu with 14 new items. From fresh oysters to poke, seafood dips and the usual favorites, it’s a seafood lover’s dream in here. Don’t sleep on the desserts either!

Sheraton Dallas Brings Inventive Cocktail to Hotel Bar

We’re always down to check out really cool cocktail bars nestled inside DFW hotels. We stopped by the Sheraton in Downtown Dallas and learned about the inventive drinks and garden rooftop where many of the ingredients are sourced. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to visit their bars, so drop by next time you’re in the city.

Hopdoddy’s Burger of the Month was surprising!

Many of us have enjoyed the tender, juicy goodness of birria tacos…but what about the birria burger?? Hopdoddy introduced us to their new mouthwatering burger of the month made with house-made chorizo, grilled Oaxacan quesadilla, cilantro onion aioli, pickled red onions, and a side of consome for dipping of course! It paired perfectly with churro shake. We can’t wait to see what else they come up with!

Lakewood Brewery Turns 11

Happy birthday to our favorite East Dallas brewery! The brewery even tapped a special Lions Share IX (a Belgian Strong Golden Ale) for guests!

Little India Brings a Market & Restaurant to Lewisville

Little India is nothing but little. Located in Lewisville, the brand features a market, fast-casual restaurant and juice bar on site. They also offer catering services and have beautiful ballrooms for private parties.

El Fenix Turns 105

We celebrated this milestone birthday at the El Fenix in Downtown Dallas, and it was filled with live music, all-day happy hour, $1.05 enchiladas and more fun. 拾

Fun Facts about El Fenix:

  • It’s the oldest restaurant in Dallas.
  • The flagship location is located off McKinney Ave (shown above)
  • There are 14 locations throughout DFW.
  • In the 1930s, El Fenix served spaghetti, chicken fried steak and oysters Rockefeller.

Boozy Bird Brings All the Fun to Carrollton

Level up your wings and drinks game at Boozy Bird in Carrollton. The new sports bar has a lot to offer including 20 scratch-made wings, plus plenty of local beers, TVs, and games to enjoy, especially during football season. We loved sipping on the adult Boozy Jammers (shown above)! Don’t miss the dog-friendly patio now that temps are cooling off a bit!

We’ll see you in a few weeks! As always, see what our writers are up to on the ‘gram.
