“Dallas Cakes,” the new show on Food Network, shows viewers the most over-the-top cakes, which is pretty ridiculous and amazing at the same time. The show continues this week with more unbelievable designs by Dallas-area bakers, so tune in or set your DVRs on the series. You won’t regret it!

Officers and Alligators Cake

The artists at Frosted Art Bakery roll up their sleeves to create a five-foot alligator cake that’s so lifelike it could have crawled right out of the swamp. Later, Society Bakery proudly shows their appreciation for one of Dallas’ finest with a police badge cake that replicates the retiring officer’s shield. Finally, young gun baker Dylan Humphrey crafts a giant golf cart cake that looks realistic enough to take for a spin.

Love and Oil

Wunderkind Dylan Humphrey builds a five-foot-tall oil derrick cake for a groom who works on an oil rig. Frosted Art Bakery tackles a lifelike cake of giant jellyfish complete with edible tentacles, and love is in the air when a young romantic proposes with a special cake containing a secret compartment.

Tank and Tackle Box

One deserving veteran’s family is celebrated with a tank cake so accurate it rivals its 11-ton counterpart. Then a wine-and-cheese festival has one baker creating lookalike cakes so authentic they’re bound to fool the experts. Finally, a groom’s cake gives new meaning to the phrase Gone Fishin.”

Bollywood Meets ˜The Dude

An extravagant Bollywood-themed fundraiser has one baker outdoing herself by building a six-foot cake that includes cakes within more cakes. Next, the Dude may abide but he also shows up as an awesome groom’s cake. Finally, a giant egg cake is intricately adorned inside and out to pay homage to a baker’s grandmother’s traditional paintings.

Back 2 Dinosaurs

One baker creates a hyper-realistic dinosaur cake straight out of the Jurassic era for a company that makes life-size dinos. Then we keep the theme of traveling back in time with a DeLorean Time Machine cake with working headlights made for a fan expo. Finally, a DJ Bear Klaw cake drops a few tasty beats for a weekend music festival.

A university marching band recognizes a star performer with a bass drum cake he can actually wear. A growing family then celebrates a baby shower with a parade of six elephant cakes and a group of wide-eyed kids gather for a birthday party where a giant cake is guaranteed to bring smiles.

Fruit and Saddles

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame commemorates a historic location with a full-size saddle cake that looks like it’s made from hand-tooled leather. A groom’s cake represents everything near and dear to him as it includes a replica of his boat. And the Dallas Farmers Market gets a fresh take on a unique produce stand with cakes that look like fresh fruits and vegetables.
