The @Riverwalkflowermound is getting an upgrade! U The @Riverwalkflowermound is getting an upgrade! Under new management (River Walk F&B), 5 new restaurants are taking over the area this season. The new dining concepts include a brick-oven pizza shop, family-oriented sports restaurant, coffee and gelato bar, a smokehouse and an English pub. We got a first look at Underdogs Burgers & Brew (formerly Scout). This family-friendly sports restaurant features a large indoor and outdoor kids play area, games for the big kids (that’s us!), plus plenty of TVs showing the latest games. Burgers are the star of the show, using 100% Texas Wagyu Beef from HeartBrand Beef. Plenty of burgers make up the menu, plus wings, sandwiches, salads and a kids menu. Everything in this scratch kitchen is made fresh, including a variety of house-made sauces for wings and burgers. 2022 was a great year for @durohospitality and the 2022 was a great year for @durohospitality and their 2023 is looking to shine even brighter. We visited their newest concept @elcarloselegante and we’re already booking another reservation. This upscale Mexican restaurant features family-style plates, from fresh seafood bites to bright salads to elegantly grilled proteins. The main character though is their selection of masa dishes. They are one of the few restaurants with an in-house corn program, with processing beginning early in the morning to produce masa ready for service. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully crafted with mouthwatering sauces and lovely pickled accompaniments. Cocktails were creative and strong, their wine program features some incredible bottles from Mexico and South America, and their service is truly outstanding. We saw #LegallyBlonde the Musical at @attpac! 💝👩‍💼⚖️ We put on our cutest pink outfits & hit @haywireuptown for dinner before the show. They have a great happy hour with some great bites & a frozen Texas Tea for $6! Highly recommend the pork belly burnt ends—so good! We also loved the Blackened Catfish & Gulf Shrimp on jambalaya. Yum! Legally Blonde is a charming update on the Reese Witherspoon classic, hitting all the key moments from the original (yes, of course there’s a “Bend & Snap” song).
