COVID-19 got you feelin’ crabby? Truluck’s has recently introduced an amazing new entree that’s perfect for Summer and will cure your pandemic blues. The Crab Napoleon consists of blue crab, shrimp, and mango formed atop a sliced tomato on a bed of smoked tomato vinaigrette ($24). It’s savory and smokey, but also light and delicious!  

In addition to their staff wearing gloves and masks, they are also wearing amazing photo ID badges so you could see what the person actually looks like behind the mask (see photo below). This pandemic has forced us to limit our connection by physical distance, which leads to emotional distance. Small touches, like these photo badges, remind us that this
time is fleeting, that humans are resilient, and we will prevail if we work together. Nice work to the team at Truluck’s.

Ending on a happy note, I’m pleased to report that live entertainment has returned to their Uptown location beginning at 6:00 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in the Stone Crab Lounge.
