Now, I love a big plate of comfort food like the rest of us, but in the summer months, I crave a good salad. There’s nothing better than a crisp, refreshing bowl of veggies on a warm day that will fill you up and not weigh you down. And lucky for you, Crisp Salad Co. opened a second Dallas location to help you get your required nutrients.

Like the original location on Greenville Avenue, the new spot at the Shops at Park Lane offers salads, wraps and salads that are light on your belly and your wallet. The beauty of salads is that they can be simple; they can be complex; they can be whatever you like.IMG_8289

At Crisp Salad Co., they source fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables to pair with unique combinations of chef inspired ingredients to create flavorful meals. 10 “pre-made” signature salads are offered on the menu such as the Greenville Cobb, topped with herb grilled chicken, hard-boiled eggs, grape tomato, onion, avocado, Maytag blue cheese and bacon. Because bacon.

Other salads include the Caesar, the Superfood, Killer Kale, Chickpea and Thai It Up. I had the opportunity to sample the Street Taco and the Thai It Up. The owner told us the Street Taco was a crowd favorite, and I immediately knew why. Dallasites love anything that has Tex Mex vibe, and this salad carries those flavors of spicy chicken, grilled sweet corn, Texas cotija, tortilla strips and jalapeno ranch. Yum. Yum. Yum. This salad was one word – scrumptious, even my non-salad eating “plus one” couldn’t stop eating and smiling.

For the creative individuals who want to make their own concoction, you can also order a customized salad and top it with up to eight ingredients ranging from veggies to cheese to fruits. And the coolest part is that all salads are expertly chopped in front of you by Salad Ninjas so that you know exactly what you’re putting into your body. Salad Ninjas aren’t their official title, but after you see them in action, you will understand why I gave them that role.

In addition to salads, the restaurant also offers organic soups and wraps. All of these items are created to help guests attain a healthy lifestyle by offering fresh ingredients. And since you are choosing a healthy option and can caption your salad with #cleaneating on Instagram, that gives you free reign to enjoy a little sweet treat!

In addition to the fresh cuisine, the atmosphere and view at this location of Crisp Salad is hard to beat. As this area continues to develop, it has truly transformed into an urban oasis. I really love the dichotomy between the lush grass surrounded by tall residential and commercial property. You can enjoy your salad on the patio or grab a blanket and enjoy some people watching. Either way, Crisp Salad will become your go-to spot for light fare this summer!
