A staycation is always a fun way to explore new things in your own city and bond with friends and family. My family and I lined up a staycation in Dallas right before school started back up. We were invited to the new dual branded AC Hotels and Marriott Dallas by the Galleria.

This sleek hotel celebrates a modern design born of the brand’s Spanish and European roots. It’s just five stories tall and has 256 guestrooms, a pool, a European-inspired kitchen and more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

The hotel is located in Midtown, near the Galleria and by the new developments near the former Valley View Mall.

During our staycation, we stopped by the AC Kitchen on level 1 for a tasty menu sampling. We were excited to try some European-inspired bites and craft drinks. Take a look at the highlights below!

The hotel puts a big focus on their beverage program. Guests will definitely enjoy grabbing a refreshing drink and exploring the creative selections. There’s a killer Gin and Tonic and a Maple Bacon Smash that’s impressive and delicious. They even char a piece of oak wood just to add flavors to their Smoked Manhattan. This is the place for craft cocktail enthusiasts to be!

The approachable and relaxing bar is open to the public, and don’t miss out on drink specials during happy hour (M-F from 4-6 p.m.).

As for food, bite into an array of Spanish tapas. Grab a few plates to share if you’re with friends like the pesto or grilled shrimp tapas. If you’re craving something more, enjoy bigger entrees like the grilled salmon with lentils and the flat iron steak. The Roasted Chicken BLT toast and Lamb Meatballs were a couple of my favorites!
