Back for its 12th year, Savor Dallas invites foodies and wine connoisseurs to celebrate everything food and wine from April 7 – 10, 2016. The four-day festival kicked off earlier last month at the Dallas Arboretum and overall takes place at multiple locations throughout Dallas. Events this month include an art-infused happy hour in the Arts District, a dessert-inspired late-night bash at the Nasher, a waffle brunch at Trinity Groves and additional celebrations at Fair Park. Each event promises innovative culinary creations and pairings from Dallas’ top chefs and mixologists along with wine tastings from across the world.

Savor the Arboretum, Thursday, March 10 at the Dallas Arboretum
Savor the Arboretum offers a stroll through world-class botanical gardens while sampling fine foods, wines, and spirits during Dallas Arboretum’s incredible “Dallas Blooms” floral festival.

 

Arts District Garden Party, Thursday, April 7 in the Dallas Arts District
This mega happy hour in the Dallas Arts District is cool, casual, and well-curated with must-taste samplings, must-see art, and must-hear live music.

 

Sweet Heat, Thursday, April 7 at Nasher Sculpture Center
Following the Arts District Garden Party, this late-night party under the stars serves up trendy treats, sweet dessert wines, and the fiery flavor profiles of craft cocktails.

 

Shaken and Stirred, Friday, April 8 at Sixty Five Hundred
The city’s best mix-masters bring their best cocktails to the party. The drinks go down easy and get paired with gourmet, chef-led bar bites.

 

The Reserve Tasting, Saturday, April 9 at Centennial Hall at Fair Park
An exclusive and elegant evening for connoisseurs of fine drink and collectors of wine, The Reserve Tasting is a celebration of excellence. Meet the winemakers and sample premium wines, collectors’ spirits, and other rarities from around the world.

 

The Grand Tasting, Saturday, April 9 at Centennial Hall at Fair Park
The delicious main event of the Savor Dallas festival is one of the most exciting epicurean events of the year. More than 50 local star chefs and culinary artisans sample their signature cuisines alongside hundreds of fine wines, spirits, and beers.

 

The Breakfast Club, Sunday, April 10 at 3015 Trinity Groves
The Breakfast Club is Savor Dallas’ new annual Sunday Brunch. This year’s edition, Waffle Wars, features creative incarnations of the almighty waffle, plus all the brunch favorites and plenty of cocktails to go around.

 

Toast of the Town
The popular Toast of the Town series is back with chef-led gatherings throughout the year. Each event in the series is a unique concept, curated and hosted by Dallas’ most recognized chefs along with featured winemakers and spirits purveyors. Details to come.

Tickets are available at www.SavorDallas.com. Prices range between $35 to $200, with à la carte options and special multi-event packages.

Savor Dallas has partnered with returning presenting sponsor Goody Goody, along with Nebraska Furniture Mart featuring KitchenAid, Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, official spirits sponsor Republic National Distributing Company, Excelsior Wines, and official hotel sponsor Omni Hotel and Resorts.

The festival is a memorable experience that integration Dallas’ progressive arts and culture scene. It’s a must-see festival for locals and is even a destination point for those visiting from out of town.
