Similar to the formula for many restaurants in Dallas, RA Sushi has made the trip over the Tarrant County border to Southlake. Opening this last Monday, RA Sushi is one of several retailers and eateries opening in the new Park Village across from Southlake Town Square.

RA Sushi

With its sleek metropolitan vibe, cool cocktails and creative sushi, the 6,163 sq. ft. restaurant seeks to be the new hot spot for drinks, sushi, and even brunch. Diners seeking an adventure on their plate will have a lot to savor – from RA Sushi’s signature Viva Las Vegas Rolls and RA’llipop to the Blushing Geisha, Dragon Bite and other flavor-infused cocktails. Daily happy hour and a special brunch will entice diners to experience this new offering in Southlake.

During a recent tasting several of the most popular items were served including:

RA”LLIPOP, a combination of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and spicy tuna mix with lettuce, asparagus and cucumber wrapped in lobok and served skewered with garlic ponzu sauce;

(MY FAVORITE) VIVA LAS VEGAS ROLL, featuring crab and cream cheese rolled in rice and seaweed, lightly tempura battered and topped with spicy tuna, crab mix and sliced lotus root, then finished with a sweet eel sauce and spinach tempura bits;

TOOTSY MAKI ROLL, a mix of crab, shrimp and cucumber rolled and topped with crunchy tempura bits and drizzled with a sweet eel sauce.

TUNA2 SALAD, Seared ahi with tataki and albacore tuna drizzled with garlic ponzu sauce, placed over a bed of mixed greens with sliced avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, fried wontons and cashews; served with onion soy vinaigrette.

Other highlights on the menu include:

STRAWBERRY SAKETINI made with Russian Standard Vodka, nigori sake, strawberry puree and lemon juice
BLUSHING GEISHA, a mix of Maker’s Mark Bourbon, fresh strawberries and aromatics that create a cocktail with a surprisingly soft finish
FUZZY MOMO BELLINI, RA Sushi’s take on this famous Italian cocktail – that includes a frozen blend of Bacardi Peach Red Rum, sparkling and white wines, yuzu, and peach and strawberry purees.

Get your shot at RA Sushi 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday – Thursday; 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday & Saturday. Lunch is served until 3 p.m. Happy Hour is open 3-7 pm and 10 pm to close Monday – Saturday and 8 pm to close on Sunday.
