It’s that time of year again - Taste of Dallas will be here July 11 through 13 at Fair Park in Dallas. This year’s event will serve up platefuls of fun and food.

The three day celebration of all things Dallas will start off on Friday with Date Night, an all new event for couples with activities like palm readings, complimentary dance lessons and fair games. Friday night will be capped off with the opportunity for couples to win prizes during the Cutest. Couple. Ever Contest.

I know I’m looking forward to Soccer Central presented by Dish. Attendees will get to watch the big games on Saturday and Sunday and test their skills with the Dallas Sidekick’s indoor soccer challenge course.

And of course, all three days will feature an expanded indoor restaurant tasting experience that complements everyone’s favorite restaurants along the Esplanade. 150,000-square-feet of air-conditioned space will feature 20 additional restaurant booths, a culinary marketplace, health and wellness exhibitors and the popular Taste of the Town VIP indoor tasting experience.

Area restaurants will be featured along the Fair Park Esplanade fountains while more than a dozen food trucks will park for Taste Curbside. Among these food trucks will be the first ever TGI Friday’s Food Truck. The all new Friday’s Food Truck will serve up new items as well as their classics such as Loaded Potato Skins and Ahi Tuna Crisps.

Taste of Dallas won’t be just serving up good eats, however. Musical guests such as Vanilla Ice, The Spazmatics and Jack Ingram will play through the weekend to entertain you as you eat your way through Dallas.

With more than 60 of Dallas’ best restaurants to look forward to, Taste of Dallas 2014 is sure to be an event to please all types of foodies.

Tickets are on sale now at Walgreen’s for $8 and kids under 5 get in for free with an accompanying parent. Family value tickets are available at Walgreen’s for $30 and will admit up to five people. Tickets will also be available at the gate: $12 for an individual, $50 for a family value ticket.

Taste of Dallas continues to support the work of the American Heart Association, which is Taste of Dallas’s official non-profit partner. The American Heart Association will offer free screenings, entertainment, and heart-healthy education at the event.
