Gaming meets food and drinks here at Nerdvana Food + Spirits in Frisco. The latest geek concept by Chef Mike Junio and his sister Kristy Pitchford opened in November at Frisco Square. After great success from their coffee shop next door (Nerdvana Coffee), the duo wanted to open a restaurant to offer American fare with a California influence to DFW residents and tourists. Chef Mike’s impressive resume brings forward-thinking menu items that are made from scratch — all while embracing the videogaming culture.

Dallas Food Nerd stopped by for a sneak peek of the new menu, which we think you’ll enjoy just as much as we did!

The bar offers craft cocktails with a twist, such as these two tasty drinks pictured above. Guests can enjoy a variety of cocktails, bombers, craft beer, alcoholic soda and wine. Even the regular sodas here aren’t your typical ones; the sodas are made with cane sugar and based out of the region.

From left to right: Diamond Butt Stallion (Luxardo Limoncello/Smirnoff Fluffed Mashmallow Vodka/Hand Crafted Lemon Infused Simple Syrup/Fresh Cream/Rainbow Sugar Rim); Mad Moxxi (Hornitos Plata tequila/handcrafted habanero infused simple syrup/fresh squeezed lime juice/crème de mure/muddled berries/over ice).

The seared tender beef medallions in the Hadouken Beef appetizer is a great example of the upscale, creative offerings from Nerdvana. This app comes with three pieces of beef and topped with pickled vegetables and a spicy ginger vinaigrette.

One of the several melts to indulge in: the Chicken Melt (fried chicken breast, sliced smoke ham, dill pickles, Swiss cheese and ground mustard on French brioche). Other melts to try include the onion melt, steak and crab.

The S’mores Duval is the perfect finish to your meal at Nerdvana. Torched Marshmallow Cream, Chocolate Mousse And Graham Cracker Crust…we couldn’t get enough!
