If you’ve ever been to Europe, you’ve probably seen food stands selling doner kebaps near tourist and business sites everywhere. It’s hard to miss this popular street food…there’s a spinning roasted meat machine, and you can smell the meals from a mile away!
A kebap is described as a panini pressed sandwich filled with vertically roasted meats, topped with fresh vegetables, and finished off with yogurt-based sauces. The kebap originated in Turkey and is popular all across Europe, especially Germany.

Preston Hollow Village :: Grand opening of new Dallas store this Saturday!
Vertskebap, the Austin-based restaurant chain, decided to put a spin on the popular kebap and bring it to Texas (jalapeños are definitely on the menu). With several locations first in Austin, the restaurant arrived in the Dallas area last October.
They’ll also open its newest DFW location this Saturday (Jan. 30) off 75 and Walnut Hill Lane. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the restaurant* will offer one free entree per guest, so you too can experience a kebap. *offer only valid at the new Preston Hollow Village locaton
Vertskebap has several DFW locations including Southlake, Addison, and Lewisville.
